Frequently Asked Questions
Real answers built from real RV rental experience.
Getting Started
Do I need business experience to do this?
No. Many successful RV rental owners start with little or no business background. The course walks step-by-step through setup, renter communication, screening, paperwork, and the day-to-day processes that help rentals run smoothly.
Do I need to already own an RV to benefit from this program?
No. Many people go through the course before purchasing an RV or launching their rental business. Module 1 is specifically designed to help you decide whether RV rental is the right fit before investing significant money or time.
Is this program specific to certain types of RVs?
No. The guidance applies to travel trailers, fifth wheels, Class A, Class B, Class C motorhomes, and other towables. The core rental principles remain largely the same regardless of RV type.
What if I only want to rent a few weekends per year?
That’s completely fine. Some owners build full rental businesses, while others simply offset ownership costs with occasional rentals. The systems taught in the course work for both approaches.
Course & Support Options
What’s the difference between the online class, live class, and VIP support?
The online class is self-paced, allowing you to work through the material on your own schedule.
The live class covers the same framework in a small-group setting where you can ask questions and learn alongside other owners.
VIP support is one-on-one guidance tailored specifically to your RV, goals, setup, and questions.
What documents and templates are included?
The program includes editable rental agreements, screening forms, checklists, inventory systems, and other operational templates developed from real RV and trailer rental experience.
These are practical working documents designed for actual rental operations — not generic templates pulled from the internet. In my own rental business, many of these documents were incorporated into electronic processes for information collection, recordkeeping, and rental management. The forms are provided as editable documents, allowing owners to adapt them to their own processes and systems.
I’m already renting my RV. Is this still useful?
Yes. Many owners join after they already have rentals underway.
A common theme is realizing there were operational gaps they didn't know existed — especially around screening, documentation, renter communication, pricing, damage prevention, and protecting the RV properly.
The systems, forms, and processes taught in the program can help both new and experienced owners operate more confidently and consistently.
How do I choose between the live class and VIP support?
The live class is great if you enjoy learning in a group environment and hearing how other owners handle similar situations.
VIP support is better if your situation is more complex, you want personalized feedback, or you prefer one-on-one guidance tailored specifically to your setup.
Insurance & Protection
Does my regular RV insurance cover rentals?
Almost certainly not — and this is one of the most important things new owners need to understand before their first rental.
Most standard RV insurance policies exclude commercial rental use. The course walks through what questions to ask, what to look for in coverage, and what protections should be in place before handing over the keys.
What if a renter damages my RV?
This is one of the biggest concerns new owners have.
You’ll learn practical processes for documentation, deposits, check-in/check-out procedures, renter communication, and damage handling designed to help reduce risk and protect both you and your RV.
Do RV rental laws and requirements vary by state?
Yes. Insurance requirements, taxes, registration rules, and other operational requirements can vary depending on where you live and rent.
The course covers general best practices, but owners should always verify details specific to their own state and situation when needed.
Renters & Operations
How do I know if a renter is trustworthy?
Renter screening is one of the most valuable skills in this business.
You’ll learn practical screening methods — including red flags to watch for, better approval questions, verification methods, and ways to make more confident booking decisions before confirming a rental.
Do I need to list on Outdoorsy, RVshare, RVezy, or other platforms — and if I do, do I still need these documents?
No to the first. Yes to the second.
You don't need to list on a platform to rent your RV. The course covers both platform rentals and private rentals, including the pros, cons, and important operational differences between them.
But if you do use a platform, you still need these documents and processes. Platforms handle the booking, the payment, and their version of the rental agreement. What they don't handle is your walk-through, your keys, your inspection, your renter communication, or your documentation if something goes wrong. Even renters who book through a platform will still meet you at pickup and deal directly with you.
The documents and processes in this program are the operational layer that runs your rental — whether you book through a platform or rent directly. The platform governs the transaction. Your systems govern your operation.
How quickly can I realistically start earning?
Every market, RV, and setup is different, but many owners secure their first booking within weeks of getting properly set up.
In strong seasonal markets, even one or two successful rentals can often recover the cost of the program quickly.
Will the course help me understand insurance, paperwork, and operational requirements?
Yes. The course is designed to help owners better understand the operational side of RV rentals — including renter agreements, documentation, screening, setup, and risk reduction basics.
